Top 20 Olivia Newton John Hits

One of those "kangaroo" ladies who did so well on the charts in the 1970s, Olivia Newton-John was born in Cambridge, England in 1948. Shes the granddaughter of famed Nobel Prize winning German physicist, Max Born. She moved to Australia in 1953.

Olivia began singing at the age of 14 in coffee shops and soon became a regular on local Australia radio and television shows. She entered and won a talent contest with the grand prize being a trip to England. Here, she teamed with another Aussie, Pat Carroll as "Pat And Olivia." When Pats visa expired, sending her back to Australia, Olivia remained in England.

American producer, Don Kirshner, recruited Olivia as part of the group "Toomorrow." A film based on the group turned out to be a bust and the group disbanded.

Even though she had been recording since 1966, Olivia didnt receive her first recognition, until she recorded the Bob Dylan tune, "If Not For You" which made it to #25 on the Billboard weekly charts in 1971. Subsequent singles bombed until 1973 when her country flavored "Let Me Be There" went Top 10.

On the charts, Olivia made it to the weekly Billboard Top 40 Charts 27 times and to the top of the charts five times. This includes duets with Olivia teaming up with John Travolta, Andy Gibb, Electric Light Orchestra and Cliff Richard. Heres a look at Olivia Newton-Johns twenty biggest hits, according to the Billboard Weekly Top 40 charts.

1. Physical - 1981 - Olivias biggest single went to # 1 for 10 weeks, tying Debby Boones record of "You Light Up My Life" and making it the #1 record of 1982. The #6 record of all time, according to Billboards Top 100 records of all time, was censored and banned by some radio stations.

2. Magic - 1980 - one of three songs, from the film Xanadu, that went Top 20 for Olivia.

3. I Honestly Love You - 1974 - written by Jeff Barry and Peter Allen, Olivias first number one single was rerecorded by Olivia in 1998.

4. Youre The One That I Want - 1978 - from the film "Grease", this is one of two singles teaming her up with co-star John Travolta.

5. Have You Never Been Mellow - 1975 - Olivia received a Grammy Nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, thanks to this song.

Does he love me? When you ask yourself this question, it only means one thing. Youve gotten to a point in your relationship that youre certain the guy you like likes you back. But youre not sure if his feelings for you have deepened into love. Hopefully, the tips below can help you find out the real state of your relationship.

Does he love me if he wants us to live together?

Not always, but its a good start. Commitment is a big thing for guys and they dont give up their privacy so easily. If your partner has asked you to live with him, then thats a very strong sign his feelings has gone beyond mere liking. It may not be at the same level as your feelings right now but be patient and it could get there.

Does he love me if he chooses to be with me over his friends?

Most likely! Never underestimate the bond between male friends. It goes very deep even if they dont seem terribly affectionate with each other. God Will Trouble Those Who Trouble YOU!

We do not have to go looking for trouble in life. It has a way of coming to look for us! The Bible says, "human beings are born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward", Job 5:7.

During the time of trouble God can sometimes feel far away. No matter how you feel or how big your problem, God is never far away. For He has promised you this, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you," Hebrews 13:5.

He also promised, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze," Isaiah 43:2.

So even in those difficult times, God is still with you and will surely fight for you. Jesus Christ, the One who loves you so much and died on the cross for you, has already paid for all your trouble.

God says, call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honour me." Psalm 50:15. He also promises to do this for you, "pay back trouble to those who trouble you," 2 Thessalonians 1:6.

SO What KIND OF trouble are you facing today? Is it, miscarriage? stress and infertility, menstrual issues, marital issues, difficulties in your family or children, financial issues, danger, trial, tribulation, worry, concern, anxiety, care, misfortune, unrest, disorder, bad dreams, discontent, sleepless nights, turmoil, conflict, discord, pain. No matter what challenge is confronting you today I want to point you to Jesus.

God has promised to defend you in times of trouble. All you need to do today is to run to God and cast all your cares upon him for He cares for you.

The bible actually calls these troubles we face minor afflictions. God has promised to fight for you if you will allow him. Praise the Lord!

No matter what kind of trouble the enemy is cooking up against you, this is the only thing God has commended you to do, "Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray! James 5:13. God has given us his word concerning trouble, when you see trouble you are suppose to pray using Gods word and our good God will deliver you from it.

Bible promises concerning trouble:

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble, Psalm 9:9.

But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless, Psalm 10:4.

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance, Psalm 32:7.

The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD, he is their stronghold in time of trouble, Psalm 37:39.

Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble, Psalm 41:1.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1.

Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honour me, Psalm 50:15.

God says I am your refuge, this means God is your safe haven, your sanctuary, your shelter, your protection, your place of safety, your retreat, your security, your safeguard, your shied and your armour.

What is a stronghold? A stronghold is an iron grip. God has an iron grip over your life and is defending you strongly by his mighty power from heaven using his powerful Angels. For the bible says "the angel of the Lord encamp around those who fear him and delivers them", psalm 34:7. Do not be afraid of trouble, open your mouth and speak Gods word boldly in Jesus name rebuking any trouble confronting you and it will flee from you.

Prayer:

I give thanks to the God of heaven; his love endures forever in my life. As for me I will always have hope, because God is my refuge and strength. I will praise you more and more my good God. I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God. I will sing praise to you with the lyre, O my Lord, because I know that you Love me.

I will sing of your strength, in the morning, I will sing of your love; for you are my fortresses, my refuge in times of trouble. Infertility and miscarriage and bad satanic dreams will not destroy my life.

I say it in faith "GOD LOVES ME". He is my refuge, and my safe haven, my place of safety, my sanctuary, my shelter and divine protection. Yes "GOD LOVES ME". My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you Lord.

I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God, I trust in Gods unfailing love for me forever and ever. God has granted me relief from days of trouble and dug a pit for the wicked and all those who hate me.

My God is my place of safety, He is my retreat, infertility, miscarriage, fibroids, low sperm count, unexplained infertility, evil dreams, cannot harm me. God is my security and my defence and will always be my safeguard.

I pray O LORD and declare in faith that this is the time of your favour and you have answered me with your sure salvation. God has remembered me and will show his love and his faithfulness to me. All the ends of the earth will see the salvation of God in my life. I Give thanks to the God of gods, his love endures forever.

Praise be to the LORD my God who alone does marvellous deeds. I have cried out to the LORD in my troubles and he has heard me delivered me from all my distress.

Praise be to his glorious name forever. God loves me, and I love him too. See! He has engraved me on the palms of his hands; my walls are ever before him. My Lord will continue to uphold me, I will not be afraid of the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, for my defender is MIGHTY! May the whole earth be filled with your love and glory O Lord my God.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me. Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with the trouble their lips have caused.

For your names sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, you have brought me out of all that trouble me.

Whatever they plot against me the LORD will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time to me. Jesus says in his word, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Jesus has defeated the world for me. I rise up above you satanic dreams, miscarriage, infertility, in Jesus name. "Who shall separate me from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword Or even bad dreams separate me from Gods love? NO! My God is just; He will pay back trouble to those who trouble me.

Praise be to the LORD, my God who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to me and my family but has remained faithful to protect us. For God is the King of all the earth, I sing to him a song of praise.

Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness. O Lord you have opened my lips and my mouth will declare your praise. My God is just, He will pay back trouble to those who trouble me.

Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

Law Of Attraction 101 !!

The Law of Attraction is usually described as a "universal law" (like gravity is also a universal law) that delivers into your life whatever you focus on the most. A negative focus will attract mostly negative experiences, while a positive focus will attract mostly positive experiences.

Sounds simple enough, right? Think positive, get positive. Think negative, get negative. But there’s a little more to it than that.

Current knowledge about the Law of Attraction reveals a clear connection between our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, expectations, and the world around us.

Basically, here’s how it works:

Thoughts + Emotions + Beliefs + Expectations = Reality
Let’s break down each of these components to better understand how they work together.

Thoughts

Your thoughts provide the general structure for your reality. You perceive your surroundings and gear your emotions according to your thoughts. When you think positively, you usually “feel” positively.

In other words, positive thoughts make you feel good, and negative thoughts make you feel bad.

One common misconception is that your thoughts create your reality. Your thoughts actually don’t create anything by themselves.

Can you imagine if you “created” everything you thought about? Your nightmares would all come true, as well as every fear and worry you’ve ever had! No thank you!

In actuality, your thoughts need to be infused with emotion in order to be formed in physical reality.

Emotions
Your emotions could accurately be described as the "fuel" that gives life to your thoughts. When you hold a specific thought or idea in your mind and generate strong emotions for or about it – you bring it into your life!

Emotions are the driving force behind your ability to create your reality.

If you take nothing else away from reading this page, the MOST important thing I want you to understand is the absolute raw power that your emotions hold!

This is why negative thoughts can be so destructive. When you focus on negative things and emit negative emotions about them – you attract them! Likewise, when you think positive thoughts and emit positive emotions about them – you attract them!

Beliefs and Expectations

Your beliefs and expectations act as gatekeepers for your reality. No matter how hard you try to think and feel positively, a limiting belief or negative expectation has the power to BLOCK what you’re trying to attract. It doesn’t matter how many affirmations you recite, or how strongly you visualize yourself having something you want – if you hold limiting beliefs about it, your subconscious mind will NOT allow you to have it! You either don’t believe it’s possible or don’t believe you deserve it, so it will not be possible for you.

Making a Difference For God

Every year we celebrate "Make a Difference Day". This is a time when we can think about doing something for someone else, perhaps in a big way. Over eighty percent of Americans call themselves Christians, yet how many make a difference for God in their daily lives? It is not enough to go to church, it is the lifestyle we live throughout the week that makes a difference in our lives as well as others.

It is easy to slip into the trap of doing something like church and not letting it permeate into our being. Your physical presence in a place isnt what counts, it is what you absorb while you are there that matters. Anyone can sit in a pew for an hour or more, but what are you doing about applying what you learn about God and what He wants to do in your life? Jesus said, "If you love me you will keep my commandments." So if we follow Gods ways we love God, if we dont we are not what we claim to be. Very simple!

Sitting in a church isnt going to make a difference in our world. It is what you do with what you learn there that will impact our society one way or the other. People are watching you, how you live your life, what and how you say it, etc. What do you portray about what you believe through these communicators?

Everyday we should be making a difference for God in where we go, how we act and what we say. If we are turning our witness off-and-on according to where we are, then we are hypocrites. The world calls this situation ethics, using one set of criteria for one area and using others for different venues of our lives. Either we are Christians or we are not, there are no gray areas with God. Using Gods standards to measure our spirituality will give a true answer.

There is a saying going around, "If you were put on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?" If you really want to make a difference for God, you have to be committed to Him, and want to see the needs that are around you each day. Everywhere Jesus went He made a difference for God because He cared about others. He was always seeking to do the will of the Father. This is our mandate as well.

What are you doing to make a difference for God? Are you encouraging those around you? Do you care about the suffering that is happening right where you live and shop and do all the other things that comprise your life? Does human need stir you to action? Will there be someone to care about you if you should ever need it? How have you treated those around you in your family and neighborhood? Are people glad they know you?

Each of us has the ability to make a difference around us. Even a homebound person can call someone and encourage and pray with them when needed. Are you making a difference for God in your sphere of influence? If everyone made a difference wherever they went, think what a different world this would be. But it has to start with you and I caring about what is happening around us and using Gods power and wisdom to make a difference for Him each day that we live. How will you make a difference for God?
